It's really been that long?!

TWO YEARS?? It's been two years since I started this thing, and haven't touched it since?! Goodness.....where to start?
I may as well start with current events:

Deidre leaves tomorrow at 7AM for NYC to march in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade! She auditioned and was accepted in the spring for the Macy's Great American Marching Band, comprised of kids from across the country. She is the only color guard member from Indiana. Other than being a little anxious about flying alone for the first time, she is SOOO excited!

Greg will come home from Kentucky Monday evening, then Tuesday, he, mom and I will fly to NYC to watch the parade. We will be joined there on Wednesday afternoon by our dear friends Debbie and David Ackley, whom we haven't seen since our wedding over 3 years ago! They live in Connecticut and are only a 45 minute train ride from the city. I think they are excited to see the sights and I know I am excited to get to visit with them. It will be so fun to watch their little ones (ages 4 & 5 1/2) at the parade. Friday morning, we will pick Deidre up at Penn Station, hopefully do a little black Friday shopping @ Macy's, then all head to CT together for a belated Thanksgiving dinner at Deb & Dave's. I CANNOT wait!!

Deidre is in the process of choosing a college. Last fall, her favorite was IU. Until we went to Ball State. All winter, spring and summer, that was her first choice. Until we went to Lexington during fall break and now, UK has pretty much taken over the top spot on her list. Her plan (at least for now) is to study physical therapy, so going someplace where she can do all 7 years of study is appealing to her. Time will tell.

I was so thrilled (NOT!) that she brought up last night, "Six months from today, I turn 18!" And ten days later, she will graduate. Ugh...how did that happen?!

That's all for now. Stay tuned for future, more timely updates!
